Mayank, an Orthopaedic Surgeon, and Nita, a Dental Surgeon, have a real passion for Indian food and Indian wines too. They always wanted to bring the experience of real Indian food as it tastes in India and not what is served in typical ‘British Curry Houses’.
Mayank also established Wines In India to first time bring a range of premium Indian Wines that pair perfectly with ethnic Indian cuisine.
After graduating in Hospitality Management, Sanjay successfully established two Indian restaurants in West Sussex, Meghdoots Mystique Masala in Petworth and the Banyan Restaurant at the Kings Arms public house in Fernhurst. Being great friends with the Gupta family for the past 14 years, he shares the same passion of wanting to bring ethnic Indian food to the south coast, something one would normally have to travel to the capital to experience!
After graduating, Thomas worked for five star Taj Mahal Group of Hotels in Mumbai India and then moved to Dubai, to work for Jumeirah Beach Hotels & Hilton Hotel Groups in food & beverage management. Thomas came to the UK and worked in several upmarket London restaurants for more than a decade. He has now ventured into business as a co-director to manage Thyme & Chillies & Darbar group of restaurants.
At Thyme & Chillies restaurants, each has a Head Curry Chef and a Tandoor Chef. Our chefs are highly experienced having worked for many years in the industry for some of the top restaurants in India, Middle East and the United Kingdom.
